No, hiking is optional. This valley is fully equipped with a sightseeing bus that stops at all major attractions. You can choose to walk on the boardwalks between stops or take the bus for the entire journey, making it very accessible.

The tour ranges from about 2,900m at the entrance to 3,840m at the Red Sequoia Forest. Mild altitude sickness is possible. It is recommended to walk slowly, avoid running, and bring portable oxygen if needed.

The best time is from May to October. Summer (June-August) offers lush greenery and flowers, while Autumn (September-November) provides spectacular red and golden foliage and clear skies.

No, you cannot see the main peak (Yaomei Feng) from inside Shuangqiao Valley. To see the four peaks, you should visit the Maobiliang Viewing Platform or enter the Changping/Haizi Valleys.
