It's also an ideal self-driving route that cannot be missed. The bamboo sea is magnificent - staying overnight in the bamboo forest, enjoying the tranquility, and listening to the wind through the bamboo is an unforgettable experience. Along the Yangtze River, you can taste authentic Luzhou liquor paired with Sichuan cuisine. In Chongqing's hot summer, enjoy a spicy hot pot in the sweaty atmosphere - there's nothing quite like it in the world.

Road Conditions
The entire route uses well-maintained highways and national roads. The highway sections connect major cities with smooth driving conditions. The road to Shunan Bamboo Sea has some winding mountain sections but is well-paved. All roads are suitable for regular passenger vehicles. Gas stations are readily available along the route. The route passes through relatively low-altitude areas (below 1000m), so no altitude sickness concerns.

Chengdu to Zigong to Yibin
Depart Chengdu via highway, first stop at Zigong to visit the world-famous Dinosaur Museum and Zigong Salt History Museum. Continue to Yibin in the afternoon. Total driving distance approximately 354km.

Full day exploring the magnificent Shunan Bamboo Sea. This 120 square kilometer bamboo forest is one of the largest in China, featured in the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". Enjoy bamboo raft rides, hiking trails, and stunning viewpoints.

Morning departure from Bamboo Sea, drive to Luzhou - the famous liquor city. Visit Luzhou Laojiao distillery to learn about traditional Chinese baijiu production. Continue to Dazu in the afternoon. Total distance approximately 246km.
