High-Altitude Drone Recovery: Digital Forensics, Local Intelligence, and Risk Management Protocols

This comprehensive guide provides a professional framework for recovering drones crashed in remote, high-altitude environments. It details the "Golden Minute" digital forensic steps, including screenshotting telemetry and analyzing flight logs. It contrasts the utility of Ovital Map versus Google Maps for terrain analysis and outlines physical search strategies that account for altitude-induced fatigue. Crucially, it explains how to leverage local herders as search assets and establishes a strict "Life > Gear" risk assessment protocol to ensure pilot safety during recovery operations.
