The name "Jade Belt" also refers to a famous meteorological phenomenon known as the "Jade Belt Cloud" (Yudai Yun). Legend has it that this ribbon-like cloud, which appears across the mountain's waist in late summer and early autumn, is the transformed belt of a celestial maiden or a charm used by the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) to suppress a dragon in the sea. Locals believe the appearance of this cloud signals a year of good harvest and peace. Crystal Waters: Qingbi Stream
One of the undisputed highlights along the route is Qingbi Stream (Clear Jade Stream). Located between the Malong and Shengoying peaks, this stream is famous for its three distinct pools: the Lower, Middle, and Upper pools. The water here creates a stunning visual effect, appearing vividly clear and turquoise, like liquid jade nestled in the canyon.
